Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not DeskDays. To cancel:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Tap DeskDays, then Cancel Subscription
You’ll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?
Open the DeskDays Pro upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchase. This works as long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID that originally purchased the subscription.
WiFi auto check-in isn’t triggering
WiFi check-in reads your current network name to match against the office SSID you’ve configured. Check:
- Your iPhone is connected to the office WiFi network (not just in range)
- Under Settings → DeskDays, Local Network access is enabled
- Under Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, DeskDays has While Using or Always access (iOS requires location permission to read the current SSID)
- The configured SSID in DeskDays exactly matches the network name shown in Settings → Wi-Fi
Geofence auto check-in isn’t detecting my arrival
Geofence check-in uses iOS region monitoring to wake the app when you arrive at your office. Check:
- Under Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → DeskDays, the permission is set to Always
- Your office coordinates and radius are configured under Settings → Geofence in DeskDays
- The radius is large enough (at least 100 meters is recommended)
- You haven’t recently force-quit DeskDays from the app switcher — iOS suspends geofence monitoring for force-quit apps until the next device restart
NFC or QR check-in isn’t working
NFC: Requires iPhone 7 or later. Hold the top of your iPhone flat against the tag. Make sure the tag is configured with a DeskDays check-in URL.
QR: Open the camera or the in-app scanner and frame the full QR code. The code must be a DeskDays check-in URL (one you generated from the app).
If neither responds, try reinstalling the app to ensure permissions are granted fresh.
Where is my data stored? What about backups?
All DeskDays data lives on your device in SwiftData storage. Nothing is sent to any server — we don’t have one.
Your data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or local encrypted backups via Finder) if you have them enabled. This is managed by Apple.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the DeskDays app from your iPhone. All local data is removed immediately. No cleanup on our end is needed — we never received any of it.
